Khloe Kardashian has been axed as co-host by the struggling US version of The X Factor.
A source told The New York Post, “They are asking Mario (Lopez) to come back, but not Khloe.”
Kardashian said she felt she was getting better with each show, and that Simon Cowell helped her with her confidence by telling her, “I hired you for you, I could have hired any trained host, so be yourself.”
“I am sure there was a big percentage of Khloe’s fans who followed her to X Factor,” said L.A. hosting expert Marki Costello. “But at the end of the day, when she doesn’t know what she is doing, are you helping your show or hurting it?” Costello added.
Khloe Kardashian hasn’t commented on being removed from the show on her blog or on Twitter. There is no word yet on if Mario Lopez will still continue to host the show solo or if they will hire another co-host.
Are you surprised Khloe Kardashian was fired from The X Factor USA?

X Factor Season 2 winner Tate Stevens will premiere his latest song at the 2013 Grammy Awards.
“Holler If You’re With Me” video clip will air during the awards night on Feb. 10. Read details below.
The X Factor season two winner Tate Stevens is going from one big TV show to another. The country singer will unveil a new track, “Holler If You’re With Me,” as part of a Pepsi clip to debut during the Grammys, with a full music video available online immediately afterward.
“When I won The X Factor, part of the deal was getting to do this video shoot with Pepsi and Syco Music/RCA Nashville. They’ve teamed up to do this video to get America the first look at me,” Stevens told Rolling Stone when we visited him on set in a very windy Simi Valley, California. “The whole concept is just people getting together, having a big bonfire party. That’s the idea – you’re going to a Tate Stevens concert, or party, in the middle of nowhere.
To capture that feel, the producers brought in a hundred or so extras. Stevens used the crowd reactions to the song as a litmus test. “Of course the more they heard it the more they got involved, and they were singing along and stuff,” he said of the track, which he described as “an anthem-y kind of thing.”
Based on that response, he is excited about bringing the song to the stage: “It’s definitely gonna be a lot of fun to throw down live.”
While this will be the first taste of Stevens’ music fans get post-X Factor, he is not ready to declare “Holler If You’re With Me” his first single. Of four songs he says he’s completed toward his debut album, one called “Ordinary Angels” is “probably a really strong candidate for a first single. It’s got a great message behind it.”

They have been signed by Simon Cowell and Epic records. Congratulations!
“I knew from the girls’ first performance at the judges’ homes that we’d done the right thing,” Cowell, in an exclusive statement, tells PEOPLE of Fifth Harmony. “The chemistry between the girls both on stage and off is fantastic, and they are incredibly talented.”
“The fact that we’re being given the opportunity to make music that we want feels like a dream we never want to wake up from. I literally have to pinch myself,” says Cabello, who is known to fans for her signature hair bows.
The group’s debut album will be executive produced by Julian Bunetta (whose credits include One Direction, Boys II Men and Leona Lewis), but the girls seem most excited to be reunited with each other in the recording studio after being apart for the holidays.

Press Release:
SYCO MUSIC & EPIC RECORDS SIGN RECORDING DEAL WITH THE X FACTOR’S GIRL GROUP SENSATION FIFTH HARMONY
(January 17th, 2013- Los Angeles, CA) The X Factor girl group Fifth Harmony have signed a recording deal with Syco Music and Epic Records.
They amassed a legion of fans and won America’s heart on the past season of The X Factor with their breathtaking vocals and inspirational friendship, this week they’ve been pronounced ‘Next Pop Superstar of 2013’ by PopDust, and now Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello, Normani Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Lauren Jauregui are set to take the pop world by storm as they head to the studio to record their debut album.
Ally Brooke said, “OMG!! I’m so looking forward to working with the great Mr. LA Reid and of course my uncle Simon!! Rudolph (Simon calls me Rudolph) is ready to go!! I am going to have a BLAST recording with my girls and working with L.A. and Simon. I promise we’re gonna bring it for our FLAWESOME Harmonizers!”
Camila Cabello said, “Being introduced to the Syco and Epic family means the world to us. We get to learn from and work with the best in the business, people who have built the careers of artists we look up to. The fact that we’re being given the opportunity to make music that we want feels like a dream we never want to wake up from, and I literally just have to pinch myself. Simon Cowell is freaking awesome. On the show, we grew very close to him. He genuinely cared about us, not only as contestants, but as people, and we’re so grateful to have people like him and L.A. Reid as part of our lives.”
Normani Hamilton said “The X Factor and Simon have given me and my Fifth Harmony sisters this wonderful opportunity to pursue our dreams. Becoming apart of one of the largest record labels in the industry plays a major role in making our dreams a reality. I am extremely excited to be signed to Syco and Epic Records.”
Syco Music’s Simon Cowell, who was Fifth Harmony’s mentor during The X Factor, said, “I knew from the girls’ first performance at judges’ homes in Miami that we’d done the right thing. The chemistry between the Fifth Harmony girls both on and off stage is fantastic. They are really great girls, who have become best friends. They’re great fun to be around and most importantly, they are all incredibly talented.”
Fifth Harmony was born from a collection of talented solo artists who clicked first as friends during The X Factor Boot Camp, but quickly discovered an undeniable vocal chemistry together. At the suggestion of mentor Simon Cowell, the girls became the group now known as ‘Fifth Harmony’. Fifth Harmony has a show-stopping sound, an infectious sense of fun, and they are all richly talented vocalists. A fan favorite and darling among the judges, L.A. Reid deemed them “magical” with Britney Spears saying, “Magic happens when you guys perform – it’s spectacular, girly and fun.”
Fifth Harmony’s debut album will be A&R’d by Syco Music and executive produced by multi platinum selling producer/songwriter Julian Bunetta (One Direction, Boyz II Men, Flo Rida, Natasha Bedingfield, Leona Lewis), who first worked with the girl group as a music producer on The X Factor. The album will also feature collaborations with songwriters Autumn Rowe (Cher Lloyd, Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis) and Lil’ Eddie (Usher, Pink, Jessie J, Cody Simpson).
Bunetta said, “I had the pleasure of working with the girls of Fifth Harmony on The X Factor, and I am very excited to continue to work together on their debut album with Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid. It was remarkable to watch these five young women from across America go from being strangers to becoming a true group of friends who all care for each other and believe in each other. I believe pop music is overdue for a girl group that can represent the young ladies of this new generation. Fifth Harmony is that group.”
Fifth Harmony are Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello, Normani Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Lauren Jauregui. They were five girls (ages 15-19) from across the country that auditioned for The X Factor USA as solo artists. They joined forces as a group and captured America’s imagination with their contagious charisma, breath-taking vocals and inspirational sisterhood. They came into the competition as five girls with the same dream and made it to the finale and top 3.

Pop superstar Britney Spears will be quitting her role as a judge on The X Factor. A source close to the star leaked that Spears is leaving the show after one season to focus on her music career.
“She has made the decision that she won’t be returning,” an insider close to the Spears told People. “She wants to concentrate on her music.”
According to Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly:
“I thought it went very well,” — “It was fraught with unknowns. I think (Britney) did a good job. People are fascinated with her and always will be. Maybe some people were waiting for more drastic displays – those did not happen. The ratings were higher last year but I think the show was better [this year]. She fit in on that panel nicely.”
L.A. Reid also announced his departure from the show even before the show’s finale last season.
Spears released the single “Scream and Shout” with will.i.am in November and it becomes a hit club dance track. Watch it here.
With an all new line up for the third season in a row, aside from teen star Demi Lovato, who do you think will be taking a seat next to Simon Cowell later this year?

Britney Spears will get fired from The X Factor and may NOT return next season.
Weeks ago, L.A. Reid confirmed his exit and now, Britney is on her way out as a judge for the competition. US Weekly has the exclusive report.
(via US Weekly) Looks like Britney Spears’ X Factor gig will be a one-and-done kind of deal.
As the new issue of Us Weekly reveals, the “Hold It Against Me” singer is on her way out as a judge for Fox’s hit reality competition, which wrapped its second season on Dec. 20.
“Britney will get the boot,” an insider tells Hot Stuff of the pop star, who joined the show in May, along with fellow newcomer Demi Lovato. “Producers wanted her for the long haul, but it isn’t working.”
One reason? Spears’ $15 million contract, which sources say the low-energy mentor hasn’t earned. “They paid all that for her to say ‘amazing’ and offer half-claps,” a second insider tells Us.
Adds a third source of show co-creator Simon Cowell, who is leading the charge to axe the performer: “He wanted crazy Britney, but he got boring Britney.”
