[dropcap]A[/dropcap]merican Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez confirms Glee air-date. The Hollywood Reporter reports.
She will guest star on Glee as a legendary singer from a rival high school on the May 2 episode of FOX hit series. She’ll also appear on the May 9 season finale. Wow!
On Thursday, Jessica returns to Idol stage to perform her latest music “Tonight,” accompanied by special guest Ne-Yo.
Sanchez’s debut album via 19 Recordings/Interscope, titled Me, You & the Music, is scheduled for release on May 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

American Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez has revealed details of her upcoming single, which is slated to be released in the United States this month.
Jessica is currently in Manila, Philippines to do her first solo Valentines concert and Colton Dixon will open the show. But before the event, she was interviewed by Mornings@ANC and announced details of her much-awaited album and newest song titled “Tonight,” a collaboration with Grammy winner Ne-Yo.
“We’ve been working hard on that album. I’ve been working on it since the tour and we just finished finalizing it and making it perfect for all the supporters. It’s coming out in May and hopefully it will be released around the same time here,” Sanchez said.
Sanchez added that her single will show more of her youthful side.
“I just wanted to show people that I’m still young and fresh. The single that’s coming out featuring Ne-Yo is like a fun clubby dance song,” she said.
The same is true for her 16-track debut album, she said.
“The album consists more of a younger sound, it will be radio-friendly. There are still ballads but I definitely wanted to go for what I always wanted to do — more radio-friendly, more showing like I’m still 17, just have fun and dance,” she said.
“Last time I was here, I was with the other Idols and there were endorsements. Now it’s more focused on my concert on Valentine’s Day at the Smart Araneta and I’m very excited for that. I’m very excited because it’s my first solo concert,” she said.
“Definitely I’m nervous but I’m very very excited that I’m doing it here in Manila. It’s an honor to perform before my people,” she added.
While she is already living her dream, Sanchez said there are still a lot of things which she wants to achieve.
“The Grammys and everything. There’s a lot of big dreams that I want to accomplish,” she said. source

There’s another FilAm hopeful on American Idol 12 and her name is Adriana Latonio who is rumored to be one of the girls among the Top 40.

Adriana reminds me of Jessica Sanchez from last season. But I don’t think Adriana could win American Idol. She is your typical Filipina diva wannabe. A lesser version of Jessica but it is too early to say if she could win the crowd or not.

Good news blujays! American Idol runner up Jessica Sanchez will be releasing a new single in January off her upcoming album. The Hollywood Reporter has the details. Read the interview:
The Hollywood Reporter: Let’s talk about your debut album! Who are you working with?
Jessica Sanchez: I’ve been working with amazing people! Harvey Mason, Jr. (Whitney Houston, Pia Toscano, Jordin Sparks, Britney Spears, Toni Braxton, Jennifer Hudson), who has been one of my producers and Toby Gad (Fergie, Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, One Direction), who has been amazing to work with. I have also been working with mainly Ester Dean (Dean is a co-writer of the Katy Perry hit, “Firework” and Clarkson’s “Mr. Know It All,” among her many credits). There are some other songwriters, too.
THR: Can you give us some details about the record’s direction? “Fairytale” was such a good song. Will that be on there?

Sanchez: Thank you! “Fairytale” is more like a poppy song, that I did, but the album will consist of many different sounds. It’s not stuck on ballads and stuff, but more like urban R&B. But it will still be soulful Jessica. I am going to stay true to what I did on the show, but also what I always wanted to do and who I really am.
Jessica will also be appearing on Fox’s “Glee” in a recurring role. Read further.
The Hollywood Reporter: What can you tell us about Glee? Do you know anything about your role yet?
Jessica Sanchez: I guess Ryan Murphy talked about it a little bit more about the role I might be playing, but I really have nothing straightforward from him. I really have no idea.
THR: I think he spilled some details about you performing in a choir?
Sanchez: In a choir? I have no idea!
THR: Have you done any acting before?
Sanchez: No, I haven’t. This will be my first time! I can’t wait!

Good news to all blujay fans out there! American Idol runner up Jessica Sanchez has been reportedly cast and set to bring her pipes to teenage musical dramedy Glee, TV Line reports.
What do you think her role will be?
(via TV Line) — It’s a done deal: Jessica Sanchez, whose monster pipes and near-perfect pitch carried her all the way to a second-place finish on Season 11 of American Idol, has closed a deal to recur on Glee, TVLine has learned exclusively. There are no details yet available on what role Glee executive producer Ryan Murphy might have in store for the 16-year-old California native or when she will first appear on screen.
