Canadian newcomer recording artist Carly Rae Jepsen and her smash debut single ‘Call Me Maybe‘ climbed up to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart kicking out Gotye’s worldwide hit ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ of the top spot.
Jepsen becomes the first female artist since Ke$ha (Tik Tok – 2010) to send a first single to the top of the chart . Also, ‘Call Me Maybe’ has sold over 3.2 million singles and spent four consecutive weeks at the top spot of the Billboard Digital Songs chart.via Billboard
