American Idol runner up Jessica Sanchez landed her first campaign as the new face of Bench. This means that her face will grace posters and billboards at Bench shops around the world.

Bench confirmed the news via Twitter.
“Let’s all welcome the fashionable @JSanchezAI11 to the ever-growing @benchtm family! #JessicaSanchez4Bench.”
“Welcome to Bench family @jessicasanchez! We are excited to have you,” Chan also said in a Twitter post that was retweeted by the 16-year old American singer of Filipino and Mexican descent. Ben Chan is the company owner of clothing line ‘Bench.’
Last month, Sanchez sang the US national anthem in the Pacquiao-Bradley fight and in the opening match of the NBA finals between Miami Heat and Oklahoma Thunder.
Recently, it was also reported that she is being considered to play the lead role in the film adaptation of the musical ‘Miss Saigon’ and in negotiation to join ‘Glee‘ for a multi-episode arc next season.
Sanchez is not the first runner-up to land such a gig. Season seven’s runner-up David Archuleta also inked a deal with the store at the height of his popularity. Bench is best known for its casual wear such as hoodies, jeans and T-shirts.
