Back Up Singer Jermaine Paul wins The Voice 2, beat out Indie Rocker Juliet Simms



Jermaine Paul was crowned season 2′s winner of the NBC hit show ‘The Voice’, May 8, 2012.

Paul, who became Alicia Keys’ back-up singer and a contestant on Team Blake Shelton, beat out runner-up Juliet Simms by just 4 percent of the total vote.

Jermaine wowed the crowd, and America during Monday night’s final performance show, with R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly,” He also performed an amazing duet singing “Soul Man” with coach Blake Shelton.

Here is tonight’s results:

2nd Runner Up – Juliet Simms

3rd Runner Up – Tony Lucca

4th Runner Up – Chris Mann

Jermaine is good but If I heard him sing on the radio and not know who it was, he'd sound like any other polished singer today. He wouldn't stand out. If Juliet Simms belt out a belt out a number somewhere, I'd know right away who it is. I wish she had won.
